Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Greater Chattanooga have teamed up to build their second home for ShaTaylor and her family. Shataylor is a determined young mother of two, driven by the desire to create a better life for her children. Growing up in a close-knit family that always looked out for one another, ShaTaylor is motivated to provide the stability her parents couldn’t achieve, such as owning a home. After six years in a cramped apartment, she’s excited to move into her own house where her kids can have their own space, a yard to play in, and the chance to build lasting memories.
Volunteers will help be a part of the building process of ShaTaylor's home. Please where comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes bring a refillable water bottle. There will be a 30–45-minuteute lunch break where volunteers may either bring their lunch or go grab lunch elsewhere.
