Youth/Family Volunteers
Are you passionate about animals and volunteering? Check out our Youth/Family opportunities where your youth will learn life skills like public speaking and confidence, helping our community, and an opportunity to earn scholarship hours for school, all while raising awareness and helping save animals in the wild!
WHAT?
Youth/Family volunteers will practice their interaction skills helping our young Zoo guests engage in interactive play in our Nature Play Playground. They will lead activities making leaf rubbings, building a bird’s nest, using Keeper tools to hook rubber snakes, and matching animal pictures to the correct skulls and footprints.
LENGTH?
Shifts are either 10am to 12:00 noon, or 1:30pm to 3:30pm Wednesdays through Saturdays.
WHO?
Youth ages 8 to 17 years old. A parent or guardian must accompany each youth ages 8-15 for the duration of their shift.
