Chattanooga Audubon Society has revised the Little Owl Festival. This Spring we will be having the Little Owl Fairy House Festival at Audubon Acres.
School groups, Families and Individuals will create a fairyland of small structures built out of natural materials, opening a portal to the incredible world around us through deep observation of nature's gifts. We will still have vendors, Storytelling and music. We have added this fun whimsical portion of the event for children and those young at heart.

Our Fairy House Building Station is one of our many wonderful activities for visitors to enjoy during our festival. Here, folks can grab a bag and choose from all kinds of supplies to make their own fairy house among our garden and meadow. Collecting these magical natural items is a big task and your help is invaluable!
Day of built Fairy houses are not eligible for prizes.
Some examples of items we accept include small stones/pebbles, acorns, other tree nuts, dried reeds/grasses, small sticks/twigs, seashells, dried flowers, pine cones, small tree cookies, dried moss, native vines, tree bark, and much more!
Things we please ask that you don't donate include dangerous or invasive plant species (Chinese Privet (We have plenty come get it!), oriental bittersweet, poison ivy vine, stinging nettle, plants with thorns, etc.), large items (stumps, logs, bushes), and anything else that could be dangerous, cumbersome, or difficult to break apart.
Items can be dropped off at Audubon Acres front porch at any time between 9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Saturday, and 1:00pm-4pm on Sunday.
Chattanooga Audubon Society (and fairies) thank you for your support!
