
Chattanooga Audubon Society will be hosting its 11th annual Walker Farms Pioneer Days.
Dates for this years Pioneer Days are Tuesday November 15th- Saturday November 19th, 2022
This event shows children what life was like in the 1800s. Educational events like this would not be possible with out our dedicated Volunteers.
We are looking for Volunteers! Please fill out the form below with the station you would like to assist in.
We have several different stations to choose from; Butter churn, wood tools, corn doll making, assisting students with a corn shelling machine, Laundry demonstration, ect.
All of these stations listed in the form can be run by anyone. We have specialty stations offered for those that have those skills. We provide our Volunteers with lunch each day they volunteer at the event.
We are also in need of Parking Assistance and runners to keep the event running smoothly.

We are looking for those with 1800s skills: soap making, candle making, beekeeping, beeswax, Cooking over a fire, sawmill, herbal remedies, Farm animals (milk cow, sheep shearing,chickens, goats..) , Ect. If you have an 1800s skill or job you would like to showcase at our event we would love to have you. You may sell items you make as long as you set up a demonstration or have a demonstration that the students can take part in.

Event starts at 9:30 and ends at 1:00pm
All Volunteers and Demonstrators needed to arrive by 8:30. Setup starts at 7:30am
This is an Outdoor event so please dress for the weather. Some November are Colder then others
