Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors is teaming up with the North Chattanooga Neighborhood Association for an upcoming work day at Sylvan Park, and we’re looking for volunteers to help them get the job done
It’s going to be a productive day! We’ll be spreading mulch to finish a new walking path, pulling invasive plants, and doing a general litter sweep to freshen up the area. We love seeing neighborhoods take the lead on caring for their local green spaces, and we want to make sure they have the manpower they need to make a real dent in these projects.
Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes, and prepare for the weather accordingly. There is a chance we will come across poison ivy, so long sleeves, pants, and gloves are encouraged. Please bring a reusable water bottle and sunscreen if needed.
If you’re available to come out and lend a hand, we’d love to have you join us, especially if you live in the neighborhood! Come out, meet your neighbors, and improve your community.
