Join SORBA Chattanooga and Tennessee Valley Authority for a National Trails Day® volunteer trail work party at Raccoon Mountain.
National Trails Day®, hosted each year by the American Hiking Society, is a nationwide day of stewardship, advocacy, and outdoor recreation that celebrates the importance of trails and public lands. Communities across the country come together to maintain and improve local trails while connecting people to the outdoors.
We're doing our part right here in Chattanooga at Raccoon Mountain. Volunteers will help with a “Lopperpalooza” trail corridor clearing effort and some bridge repair to improve trail sustainability and user experience.
No experience is necessary. Tools, instruction, and supervision will be provided.
Lunch will be provided by TVA as a thank you for your service.
