Join us on Saturday, March 7th from 9am to 1pm for Arbor Day as we plant trees in East Lake!
Here is everything you need to know about Arbor Day:
Where: The event will start at 8:45 at the East Lake Community Center (3601 Dodds Ave) and the trees will be planted along the road a couple blocks over on 6th Ave.
Parking: Please park in the East Lake Academy of Fine Arts parking lot. There will be signage and a volunteer directing traffic, so you should not miss it!
What to bring: Volunteers must wear close-toed shoes and clothing they do not mind getting dirty. All tools, protective equipment, and water will be provided. Coffee will be served by BeCaffeinated and snacks will be provided as well.
We ask that all volunteers under the age of 14 be accompanied by a participating adult at all times. We have trees being planted at the Community Center for younger children to help with and there are opportunities to be a part of a team to help pick up litter.
Additionally, we will have activities for kids at the Community Center.
Thank you for joining us this Arbor Day. Through community action, we can make big things happen!
