Here’s everything you need to know to be prepared:
WHERE TO MEET
- When: 9am to 1pm
- Where: The Overlooked Materials lot. (951 S Watkins St, Chattanooga, TN 37404)
WHAT TO BRING
- Comfortable and warm clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty
- Close-toed shoes
- A refillable water bottle
Provided: Tools, gloves, eye protection, water, and coffee & bagels (thanks to our amazing partners at Brothers Bagel!)
We are still accepting food donations on behalf of Sunrise Chattanooga. Please bring any food or hygiene products that you can spare.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- If you have never volunteered with us, a brief planting demonstration at the start of the day.
- You’ll work in small groups of 2–3 people planting trees in the neighborhood
AFTER THE EVENT
After planting in Ridgedale, we will be planting more trees at Eastdale Park. Feel free to join in on both events if you are up for it!
