Gratefull is a free, city-wide Thanksgiving potluck that takes place at one long table in the middle of MLK Boulevard. The event, formerly known as One Table, was started by Causeway in 2014 because we believe that in order to build a city that is an honest reflection of its residents, everyone should be invited to the table. Gratefull is now an annual event in Chattanooga, and has been replicated in six cities across the southeast.
Food Transporters for Restaurant Drop-Offs will be stationed behind the Bessie Smith at the back kitchen door access to direct cars and manage food drop-offs. Volunteers will ensure the area remains clear of unnecessary vehicles and has ample open space for restaurants to park. Food drop-off will occur between 10:30 – 11:15 AM. Volunteers will also assist restaurants with carrying food to the serving tables on either side of the main table.
Parking: There is no on-site parking available for volunteers at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. Parking information will be provided in our e-mail reminders to volunteers.
