Are you a BSW or MSW student looking for meaningful, hands-on experience in community-based social work? The Family Forward program at Signal Centers is currently accepting applications for Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 internships!
Interns in this program will gain practical experience in case management, client services, community outreach, and professional development while working with a passionate team committed to supporting families across Hamilton County.
About the Internship:
Each year, Family Forward accepts 2–4 social work interns.
While the focus is on social work students, exceptional candidates from other disciplines may be considered on a limited basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be immersed in a wide range of activities, including:
- Co-case management and direct client support
- Client assessments -and documentation
- Data entry, tracking, and reporting
- Supporting grant applications and program reports
- Attending community and networking meetings
- Representing Family Forward at outreach events
- Assisting with support groups and parent-focused programming
- Sorting donations and helping with event preparation
- Participating in training opportunities (e.g., car seat technician certification, if available)
What We’re Looking For: Current BSW or MSW students with strong communication and organizational skills. Interest in working with diverse populations and family-centered services. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to learning and growing as a professional.
