Join SORBA Chattanooga and Booker T. Washington State Park for the United Way’s Day of Caring as we team up to protect and preserve one of Chattanooga’s beloved trail systems!

We’ll be working together to remove invasive plant species from the park’s Nature Trail, helping to maintain the health of the native ecosystem and ensure the trail remains beautiful and accessible for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers.

No prior experience is necessary!
All tools will be provided on-site, along with instruction and guidance from experienced trail stewards.

What to Bring & Wear:

  • Work gloves (we'll have extras if you don't have any)
  • Reusable water bottle & snacks
  • Closed-toe shoes (required)
  • Long pants and sleeves recommended for protection from brush and bugs

About SORBA Chattanooga:
SORBA Chattanooga is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building, maintaining, and advocating for sustainable multi-use trails across the greater Chattanooga region. We work closely with partners and land managers like Booker T. Washington State Park to care for public lands, promote responsible trail use, expand access to outdoor recreation, and build a thriving trail community through volunteer workdays, group rides, education programs, and advocacy.
