Join us for a meaningful day as we help adults with disabilities enjoy the holiday spirit by shopping for gifts for themselves or their loved ones!
Volunteer Responsibilities!
We need caring and organized volunteers to make this event successful!
Your role will include:
1. Assisting participants with shopping and ensuring they stay within their $50 budget.
2. Keeping track of spending using a pen and paper, a notes app, or another method.
3. Supervising participants and ensuring your group stays together at all times.
4. Helping participants at checkout and keeping receipts for possible returns.
5. Encouraging participants to actively engage in the shopping process to build confidence
Schedule
9:30 AM: Buses depart from Signal Centers to Walmart on Brainerd Road.
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Shopping time! Each participant will have a $50 Walmart gift card to spend.
12:00 PM: Start checking out with participants.
12:30 PM: Buses return to Signal Centers
Lunch: Pizza, chips, and drinks will be served at Signal Centers for all participants and volunteers.
