You have the power to make a difference! Long Term Care Ombudsman Program provides opportunities to become a Volunteer Ombudsman Representative (VOR) and serve as an advocate for residents in long-term care facilities by visiting with residents, protecting residents’ rights, and helping resolve complaints related to care, dignity, and quality of life.
Long Term Care Volunteer Ombudsman Representative (VOR) Description:
- Sensitivity and positive approach toward people; good listener and tactful communicator
- 18 Years or older, meet all eligibility, application and background check requirements
- Be screened and approved by District Long-Term Care Ombudsman
- Complete certification requirements and training
