Mission: To enable young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

For more than half a century, Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga has helped put young people on the path to great futures. We put every child that walks through our doors on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future. We challenge children to push beyond their expectations, demonstrate good character and citizenship, and embrace a healthy lifestyle. We recognize accomplishments and encourage their dreams. And all the while, we make it fun.

We, at BGCC, serve inner city children ages 6-18 by providing services to support academic success, healthy life styles and character & leadership development. BGCC offers a range of programs to empower youth, promote academic success, foster leadership, and encourage healthy lifestyles:

• Academic Success:
  • Project Learn & Power Hour: After-school learning activities, tutoring, and homework help.
  • STEM Programs: Engaging hands-on learning with robotics, Legos, and more.
  • College Prep: ACT/SAT preparation, college applications, and financial aid assistance.
• Leadership & Workforce Development:
  • Career Launch: Job-readiness and career preparation.
  • Money Matters: Teaching financial literacy and responsibility.
  • Junior Staff: On-the-job training to develop workplace skills.
  • Youth of the Month/Year: Celebrating and rewarding achievements.
• Healthy Lifestyles:
  • Sports and Recreation: A variety of activities to keep youth active and engaged.
  • Triple Play: Wellness education on exercise, nutrition, and relationships.
  • Prevention Programs: Guiding at-risk youth toward positive life choices.
