Who We Are

Mission: To empower homeless women and children to become self-sufficient by offering a temporary home while providing programs and services necessary to meet their goals.

Chattanooga Room in the Inn (CRITI) offers a residential program for women and children facing homelessness.  Services provided at CRITI are free of charge and include transitional housing, one meal a day provided by volunteers,  life skills training, parenting classes, mentoring, assistance with finding affordable housing (Rapid Rehousing Program), and case management services. This program allows the women and their children to find stability and thereby increase their opportunities and chances for independence when they leave the program.

What We Do

Chattanooga Room in the Inn offers more than shelter—we provide homeless women and children with the tools to address the causes of their homelessness and build a path to stability and permanent housing.

  • Shelter to Stability: A safe, supportive environment where women and children can access resources to achieve permanent housing and avoid future homelessness.
  • Rapid Rehousing: Housing assessments identify barriers and tailor services to help participants secure permanent housing.
  • Child Advocacy: Dedicated support for children includes tutoring, school advocacy, and parenting classes to foster stability and growth during their stay.
