KABOOM! is the national non-profit dedicated to bringing balanced and active play into the daily lives of all kids, particularly those growing up in poverty in America.

Since our founding over 25 years ago, we’ve built or improved 17,000+ playspaces, engaged more than 1.5 million community members and brought joy to nearly 12 million kids. As we look to the future, we’ll continue our efforts to build collective action and community opportunity, spark hope, and enable kids to reach their full potential. And we promise that we won’t stop until we put an end to playspace inequity. For good.

KABOOM! works to bring balanced and active play into the daily lives of all kids, particularly those growing up in poverty in America. We do this by creating great places to play, inspiring communities to promote and support play and driving the national discussion about the importance of play in fostering healthy and productive lives.
