Who We Are
Mission: To build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
Every Girl Scout has their own curiosity, dreams, and talents—so when they come together to decide which of the thousands of Girl Scout activities to try, the sky’s the limit. Whether visiting an animal shelter, camping, hosting a dance-off, or filming a movie—they’re learning to take risks, trust their gut, and team up with others for good. The secret sauce holding it all together? Joy.
Forever friendship is a powerful thing. It’s what gives Girl Scouts the confidence to be themselves, unapologetically. It’s what makes them feel safe enough to try new things and cheer each other on in tough times. It’s the support that can get them up on tough mornings, help them raise their hand in class, and even climb to the top of a mountain.
What We Do
Girl Scouts engage in activities that build leadership, character, and life skills while fostering community connections. Key focus areas include:
- Outdoor Activities: Camping, hiking, and nature conservation develop leadership, teamwork, and self-reliance.
- STEM: Programs in coding, robotics, and environmental science enhance problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Community Service and Advocacy: Volunteering and projects address issues like homelessness and education, fostering positive community impact.
- Life Skills and Entrepreneurship: The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches financial literacy, marketing, and goal-setting.
- Leadership Development: Programs empower girls to build confidence and prepare for future roles.
- Arts, Culture, and Global Citizenship: Creative activities, cultural exchanges, and global awareness foster respect for diverse perspectives.
By earning badges and completing projects, Girl Scouts grow personally while making meaningful contributions to their communities.
