Who We Are

Mission: To provide diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for people with hearing and speech impairments and to promote education and research related to communication disorders.

The Speech & Hearing Center is Chattanooga’s only nonprofit medical practice specializing in enhancing communication and enriching lives. Since 1953, the organization has improved the quality of life for individuals through better communication by providing audiology, speech, occupational and physical therapy services to individuals of all ages and income. For those who can self-pay, a portion of every service or product purchase goes back to assist those in our community who would otherwise not be able to afford therapy or hearing devices.

What We Do

Today, the organization is an integral resource for the region, providing services for all ages and all income levels. The staff help parents identify speech and hearing impairments at an early age, so children can get the necessary treatment to be successful in school and beyond, while also helping adults by treating hearing loss.
