Imagination Library of Bradley County
Mission: To build a strong foundation for early childhood literacy.
The Imagination Library of Bradley County is a local affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a national program dedicated to improving early childhood literacy. The initiative provides free, age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five, helping foster a love of reading and supporting cognitive development during the critical early years of life.
Each enrolled child receives a new book in the mail every month at no cost to their family. The goal is to ensure that all children, regardless of their background or economic status, have access to books that can inspire a lifelong passion for reading. The program helps prepare children for kindergarten and early learning by exposing them to language, stories, and concepts at a young age
In Bradley County, local organizations and donors support the program, ensuring that the books continue to reach families in the community. The program is part of a larger national effort that has distributed millions of books to children across the United States.
