Mission: To provide assistance and comfort, without discrimination or monetary gain, to anyone in their time of distress.

People Helping People Ministry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2010, dedicated to improving the lives of residents in Polk County, Tennessee, and surrounding areas. Inspired by personal hardship, we strive to meet the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community through compassion, generosity, and support.

Our organization, based in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, serves a population where per capita income averages $23,838, and approximately 14% of residents live below the poverty line. With the help of dedicated volunteers and donations, we foster a culture of kindness by providing essential resources and support to those in need, regardless of their circumstances.

At People Helping People Ministry, we offer a wide range of programs and services designed to uplift individuals and families facing hardship:

• Basic Needs: Free clothing, food distributions, and a community kitchen to ensure families and individuals have access to essentials.
• Medical Assistance: Supplies, equipment, and support for those with health challenges.
• Diaper and Daycare Support: Aiding young families with diapers and childcare resources.
• Meal Delivery: Providing meals to the elderly and “shut-in” residents to combat isolation and food insecurity.
• Homeless Support: Offering showers, fresh vegetables, a blessing box, and assistance to neighboring counties for homeless and destitute residents.
• Seasonal Outreach: Distributing school supplies, backpacks, Christmas gifts for children and veterans, and hosting water giveaways.

Our history is rooted in overcoming personal challenges, which have fueled our passion for serving others. From humble beginnings selling baby clothes at a fruit stand to becoming a trusted resource for hundreds of families, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to helping those in need. We continue to make a meaningful impact in our community, driven by faith and compassion.
