The Cleveland TN Animal Control, part of the Cleveland Police Department, is dedicated to managing animal-related issues within the city. They handle a wide range of responsibilities, including addressing animal complaints, enforcing local animal-related ordinances, and responding to calls regarding animal control and welfare.

What We Do

Key duties include:

  1. Animal Complaints & Conflict Resolution: Animal Control Officers handle complaints and attempt to resolve disputes informally, sometimes leaving notices or issuing citations.
  2. Animal Impoundment: They are authorized to impound animals when necessary and manage the care of those animals.
  3. Enforcing City Codes: The department enforces city codes and ordinances related to the care, control, and treatment of animals, such as leash laws and noise violations related to pets.
