Creative Discovery Museum

The Creative Discovery Museum (CDM) was founded in 1992 and opened in 1995 to provide children with a space for hands-on learning in art, music, science, and technology. Established as part of Chattanooga’s downtown revitalization, we serve children in the community through interactive exhibits and partnerships with schools. Over the years, we’ve expanded our offerings, earning national awards for innovation and quality. Our goal is to inspire children’s passion for learning through play and exploration.

The Creative Discovery Museum (CDM) fulfills its mission through interactive exhibits and programs in art, music, science, and technology. Key features include the RiverPlay exhibit, Buzz Alley, and the NewsChannel9 Science Theater. We also provide distance learning and prioritize inclusivity with reduced admission for EBT families and accessibility for children with special needs. Our innovative approach has earned national recognition, making us a leader in hands-on, playful learning.
