Barking Legs Theater

Since 1993, Barking Legs Theater’s mission has been to enhance the community by cultivating and mentoring diverse artists, presenters, and audiences in an accessible and creative environment. As a center for artistic exploration, we are a leading community resource, empowering people to discover their talents, broaden their horizons, and become active participants in shaping the future. We value diversity, creativity, freedom of artistic expression, development of artists, respect, accessibility, education in and through the arts, collaboration, and community.

We build community through our regular programming like our weekly jazz series, partnerships with organizations like Seed Theatre and Improv Chattanooga, the Chattanooga Fringe Festival, our Cultural Cross Ties collaboration with artists from Chattanooga's Sister Cities around the world, and providing space for community gatherings and meetings. We work to maintain a supportive creative environment for people from all walks of life.
