Who We Are

Mission: To deliver an unforgettable experience for athletes.

IRONMAN is a global triathlon company that provides volunteer and grant opportunities to nonprofits or school groups that are looking to fundraise for their cause and want to be involved in their communities.

What We Do

IRONMAN Chattanooga requires volunteers to staff dozens of job areas during race day; these jobs are open to groups of volunteers ranging in size from 15 people to 40+. As long as the volunteer group included parents/chaperones, most of these jobs are suitable for late middle/early high school aged kids, or a group of adults, depending on who is interested. Essentially, a group of people provides a captain who would communicate with the Volunteer Director, rally the number of volunteers required for their job area, and volunteer on race day; for nonprofit and school groups that provide a captain and volunteers for a specific job area, IRONMAN will then provide grant money for each nonprofit or school cause. Grant amounts typically range from $400 to over $1,000 depending on the job, group size, and job description, and are available for any non-profit who has volunteers work a job at the race.
