Who We Are
Mission: To assist volunteers aged 55 and over find meaningful volunteer opportunities in which they can share their experience, abilities and skills for the betterment of their community and themselves.
Established in 1971 and now one of the largest senior volunteer organizations in the nation, RSVP engages more than 296,000 people age 55 and older in a diverse range of volunteer activities. RSVP is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation.
What We Do
We empower Americans over the age of 55 to serve their communities. When you join AmeriCorps Seniors Chattanooga Hamilton County, you choose from a variety of established organizations, such as the Chatt Food Bank and Ronald McDonald House, among others, regarding where you want to give back. These are just a few of the service opportunities available to you through AmeriCorps Seniors.
