Who We Are
Mission: To unite people and resources to build a stronger, healthier community.
Family Promise of Greater Chattanooga is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless families achieve sustainable independence. They provide a comprehensive support system that includes emergency shelter, case management, and long-term housing solutions. The organization focuses on preventing homelessness and assisting families in overcoming barriers to stability, such as employment, housing, and childcare.
What We Do
Family Promise partners with local congregations, volunteers, and community organizations to provide shelter, meals, and support services to families in need. The program emphasizes keeping families together while they receive assistance, as opposed to separating parents from children, which is often the case in traditional homeless shelters.
In addition to emergency shelter, Family Promise offers ongoing case management services, financial literacy education, and other resources aimed at helping families transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The organization’s mission is to break the cycle of homelessness and provide families with the tools they need to rebuild their lives.
