Glenwood Learning and Adventure Days (GLAD)

Mission: To reach out to the children of the surrounding community.

GLAD (Glenwood Learning and Adventure Days) is Ministry within the New City Fellowship Church in Chattanooga and is an after-school tutoring and mentoring program. GLAD focuses on academic enrichment, life skill development, and spiritual discipleship.

Volunteering with this ministry is a great way to get more involved in the church. It is also a way to meet some really unique children with untapped gifts and skills waiting to be released.

All ages, cultures, and races are welcome. Whoever you are, you are assured a warm welcome!

We normally work with approximately 30 elementary age children and depend on volunteers to assist us in ministering to the children we serve. An ideal ratio is one tutor per child, and the children love forming relationships with their tutors who are able to serve. GLAD operates Monday through Thursday during the school year and becomes CAMP GLAD day camp during the summer.
