About Reflection Riding: Set on 300 breathtaking acres just 10 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Reflection Riding is part public park, part nature center, part wild lands, and all outdoor learning. They restore the vital connection between people and nature — believing that everyone, regardless of where they live or their economic status, deserves the opportunity to experience the outdoors. When nature is accessible to all, Chattanooga becomes stronger and more connected. And when young people learn to appreciate the natural world, they become lifelong champions for it. Reflection Riding is home to a native plant nursery, wildlife sanctuary, arboretum, and environmental education programs that serve thousands of visitors each year.
Volunteering With Us Reflection Riding thrives because of dedicated community volunteers who give their time and talents to support our mission. Whether you're a plant enthusiast, animal lover, people person, or skilled tradesperson, there's a meaningful role for you here.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- ⭐ Front Desk / Welcome Services (High Need!) — Be the friendly first face visitors see on campus. This is an indoor role and a great fit for outgoing, enthusiastic individuals. On-site training provided; regular commitment required.
- General Nursery Help — Support our Native Plant Nursery with seed sowing, propagation, and organization. No experience or set time commitment required.
- Invasive Species Removal — Help protect native ecosystems by manually removing invasive plants. No experience or set time commitment required.
- Special Skills — Lend your expertise (or willingness to learn) in facilities, land conservation, or administration.
- Special Events — Help support large annual events including Campfire Concerts, Follow the Fire, and Brunch & Blooms. No experience or set time commitment required.
- Group Volunteering — Groups of 5–60+ are welcome! Custom programs available. Fill out this form if you are interested.
