With the generous support from the Healthier Communities grant by Unum, United Way of Greater Chattanooga and the Hamilton County School District have been able to team up they and make significant strides in promoting mental health awareness among youth. The creation of calm rooms at Red Bank High School is a testament to their commitment to providing students with a nurturing environment. This initiative not only revitalizes educational spaces but also underscores the importance of mental well-being in our schools.
For this project volunteers will assist in prepping the Student Support Office for paint. This will entail removing furniture from the space, whipping down walls, and caulking any holes. Light to heavy lifting will be required. Volunteers can wear comfortable clothes with closed toe shoes. Please bring a refillable water bottle. Free parking will be available in the front of the High School.
