**A free t-shirt will be provided to all participating volunteers. Please email Justin Whitaker with your preferred t-shirt size, which you will receive upon arrival at event.**
Battle Academy, an elementary school at the heart of a booming Southside, is the epicenter of learning for a thriving downtown community. This Emerging Leaders' volunteer project will consist of the following tasks:
• Install new “Buddy Benches” to the playground area
• Spray paint rockets on the crosswalk to the school
• Prepare rocket-shaped plywood pieces for school art project
• Complete sidewalk painting with number stenciling
• Cleaning out the indigenous flower garden on Market Street
If you happen to have any of the tools listed below, please bring them if you are able:
- Circular saw
- Extension cords
- Work Golves
- Shovels
Following the completion of our project we will plan to convene at Clyde's on Main for a social/networking gathering to celebrate our great work! Any and all are welcomed!
