Join us at Carver Park for an invasive species removal showdown. We will be focusing exclusively on the removal of Chinese yam (Dioscorea polystachya) in the stream buffer habitat.
You'll be given an in-depth introduction to plant identification and invasive species removal techniques. Following that introduction, you will have one hour to remove as much yam as possible (you must remove the full tuber to count towards your total). After time is up, we will determine who will be crowned the Tater Town Showdown Champion. A first place prize will be awarded to our champion.
