Gratefull is a free, city-wide Thanksgiving potluck that takes place at one long table in the middle of MLK Boulevard. The event, formerly known as One Table, was started by Causeway in 2014 because we believe that in order to build a city that is an honest reflection of its residents, everyone should be invited to the table. Gratefull is now an annual event in Chattanooga, and has been replicated in six cities across the southeast.
Greeter and Sign-ins volunteers will help welcome people as they arrive at the event. Greeter will need to have a smartphone that they feel comfortable using to sign-up each person at the event. We will also have a QR code for people to scan to take a short online form where they can enter their contact info. You will also have paper copies on a clip board for those without a smart phone. You will write in the information on the form so we will be able to read all of the handwriting. You will be handwriting people's first names on name tags and encouraging them to meet other people with their same color name tags. We will have 4 people at a time welcoming guests. You will switch out halfway through so everyone will have a chance to grab a plate and a seat at the table.
