Gratefull is a free, city-wide Thanksgiving potluck that takes place at one long table in the middle of MLK Boulevard. The event, formerly known as One Table, was started by Causeway in 2014 because we believe that in order to build a city that is an honest reflection of its residents, everyone should be invited to the table. Gratefull is now an annual event in Chattanooga, and has been replicated in six cities across the southeast.
Set-Up – Games volunteers will help place a variety of games and bistro tables around the Bessie Smith Lawn. Volunteers will also use sidewalk chalk to write the prompt “What are you Gratefull for?” and begin with a few example responses, leaving chalk out so guests can continue adding their own.
Volunteers must be able to lift and move 10 lbs.
Parking: There is no on-site parking available for volunteers at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center. Parking information will be provided in our e-mail reminders to volunteers.
