Who We Are

Mission: To reduce the number of adoptable animals euthanized at the shelters and promote the humane treatment of animals through responsible pet ownership.

North Georgia Animal Alliance (NGAA) is a 501(c)(3) organization comprised of volunteers. We operate on the financial support of donations, memberships, grants and corporate sponsors. We help connect animals in need of homes with loving families.

Our Strategic Focus Areas:

  1. Prevent animal overpopulation through our low cost spay/neuter program
  2. Educate the community about humane treatment of animals
  3. Reduce the number of adoptable animals surrendered and/or euthanized at the shelters

What We Do

  • Low-Cost Spay/Neuter: We assist financially struggling residents in Catoosa and Walker Counties by covering most of the cost of spay/neuter surgeries through partnerships with local clinics and vets.
  • Education: We promote humane animal treatment through a 24-hour helpline and online resources offering information, referrals, and support.
  • Reducing Shelter Surrenders and Euthanasia: We focus on spay/neuter programs, early intervention with pet owners, and rescuing adoptable animals for our foster/adoption program.
  • Family Assistance: We help families keep their pets by providing financial aid for spay/neuter, limited veterinary care, food assistance, and behavior training resources.
  • Reuniting Lost Pets: We reconnect lost pets with owners via social media networking, microchip scanning, and community outreach.
