Who We Are

Mission: To inspire and equip all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through intentional opportunities and experiences.

Vision: To provide every girl with the tools to be her whole self today and tomorrow.

Beginning as Girls Club of Chattanooga in 1961, over the years, Girls Inc. has served more than 30,000 local girls and currently supports over 850 each year across Hamilton County and Marion County.  Over the years, we have adapted and expanded our mission to reflect the evolving roles of women in society.  Our Mission supports activities in the areas of literacy, STEAM, leadership, character development, mental wellness, social and emotional support, and college and career readiness.

What We Do

Our programs are designed to change the statistics. These research-based programs give girls the space to explore more career options, ways to manage relationships, and all of the other crucial tools to succeed in their lives beyond their time in our programs. We have broken our programs up into life-changing skills: literacy, STEAM, leadership, and career development.
