Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition
Mission: To lead, coordinate, and strengthen efforts to reduce and end homelessness in Southeast Tennessee.
The Chattanooga Regional Homeless Coalition (CRHC) has been a cornerstone of homelessness response and prevention in Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee since its establishment as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1995. Originating from a 1987 Chattanooga Survey of the Homeless, CRHC serves as the lead agency for the Chattanooga/Southeast TN Continuum of Care (CoC), spanning 11 counties.
CRHC manages the region’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to track services and maximize resources for individuals experiencing homelessness. In 2021, CRHC introduced the Flexible Housing Fund, securing $2.3 million to remove barriers to housing. The organization also leads the city’s homeless response system, publishing a Strategic Plan to Address and End Homelessness.
Committed to collaboration and innovation, CRHC hosts events like the 2023 statewide conference, providing education and fostering partnerships to develop creative solutions for ending homelessness.
CRHC provides ongoing training and workshops to CoC members. CoC membership is open to any public or private agency, faith-based organization, concerned citizen, or person with lived experience of homelessness who is interested in improving the homeless response system in our community.
