Who We Are

Mission: To lead a network of partners and unite the community to eliminate hunger by feeding, nourishing, and empowering those we serve.

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank’s vision is to provide equitable access to food and resources to end hunger today and build pathways for a healthy, hungry-free future. At the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, we recognize the existence of inequities that can create and perpetuate poverty and hunger. We are dedicated to providing equitable access to food and resources across our service area, in ways that value the people we serve, while building pathways for a healthy, hunger-free future for all.

We are committed to eliminating hunger in all of our communities. To better serve communities disproportionately affected by hunger, we must ensure that voices from these communities are represented in our governance and operational processes. We will prioritize diversity, equity, access and inclusion and will seek out, listen to and empower community representatives to best serve all who need our help.

What We Do

We serve 20 counties across southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia, annually distributing enough groceries for 14 million meals. Our food is sourced from retailers, manufacturers, farmers, and government programs, sorted and packed within our three facilities, and ultimately distributed to over 250 partner agencies across our service area.
