Trousdale School

Who We Are

Mission: To provide a safe and dynamic learning environment for high-functioning adults with intellectual disabilities, fostering their independence and personal growth.

Established in 2005 by Tom and Judy Johnson and Christin J. Rose, Trousdale School was inspired by the lack of continued educational opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities, like their daughter Sarah. Trousdale School offers an affordable and enriching learning experience, helping students achieve independence, productivity, and a higher quality of life. Fully accredited by the National Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services (NCASES) and licensed as Tennessee’s first Adult Habilitation Day Facility, Trousdale School is a leader in special education for adults.

What We Do

Trousdale School serves approximately 35 students aged 22-61 in a day program designed to support personal growth, independence, and learning. Located in Cleveland, Tennessee, the program is supported by a dedicated team, including certified teachers, who ensure a safe and enriching environment for all participants.
