United Way of the Ocoee Region

Who We Are

Mission: To be a community-based organization that leads the efforts in identifying community needs, facilitating collaboration, and maximizing resources to positively impact our community and the surrounding area.

Founded in 1938 as the Community Chest to address the lingering effects of the Great Depression, we have evolved over 85 years while remaining focused on serving local people. Today, United Way of the Ocoee Region connects Bradley and Polk Counties to resources, bringing stakeholders together to solve critical issues in education, health, and stability. We are a local organization driven by local people to create lasting, positive change.

What We Do

We collaborate with businesses, schools, government, faith groups, nonprofits, and individuals to address our community’s toughest challenges. By focusing on the building blocks of a good life—education, financial stability, health, and basic needs—we provide solutions that create measurable, sustainable results.

Our efforts include:

  • Community Impact: Partnering to fund programs and projects that address core needs.
  • Equity and Inclusion: Committing to listening, learning, and accountability to promote a just society.
  • Local Focus: Every donation, volunteer effort, and advocacy action stays within our community, directly supporting neighbors in need.

United Way of the Ocoee Region works to create a stronger, more connected community. Together, we Live United.
