Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga

Mission: To provide families with the care and resources they need when their child is sick and to support programs and services that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

Since 1990, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Chattanooga (RMHC® of Greater Chattanooga) has been helping families stay together and close to the care they need through the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. We provide a place like home and make children happier and healthier by making sure their families are footsteps from their hospital room– giving them a place to rest and refresh.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Chattanooga provides compassionate support and essential services to families with critically ill or injured children. Our programs ensure families can stay close to their hospitalized child and receive the care and resources they need during challenging times:

• Family Room: Located within Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, this space offers a comforting retreat for any hospital guest wishing to stay near their loved one’s bedside.
• House: Our 28-bedroom facility provides free lodging, nightly hot meals, and a supportive community environment for families facing pediatric medical care. Conveniently located across the street from Children’s Hospital at Erlanger, the House serves as a home-away-from-home.
• Mindful Room: Introduced in 2023, this serene space offers mindfulness activities to promote mental well-being for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
• House to Home Program: Launched in partnership with the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga, this initiative supports families in Bradley County and beyond after leaving the Ronald McDonald House.
