Special Olympics Tennessee

Who We Are

Special Olympics Tennessee (SOTN) creates year-round opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to play, compete, grow, lead, and belong. Through sports, health and wellness, education, and community programs, we work alongside athletes, families, volunteers, schools, coaches, and partners to build a more inclusive Tennessee. At our core, we are about: Inclusion — creating opportunities for everyone to participate. Sports — providing training, competition, and Unified Sports experiences. Health — connecting athletes with free health screenings, fitness, education, and wellness resources. Leadership — empowering athletes to use their voices and take on leadership roles. Community — bringing people together to create belonging and meaningful connections. Simply put: We create opportunities for athletes to thrive—and invite everyone to be part of the team.

What We Do

Special Olympics Tennessee creates opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to participate, compete, get healthier, develop leadership skills, and build meaningful connections - both on and off the playing field.
