Who We Are
Scenic City Shakespeare was founded in the fall of 2019 and gained notoriety during the pandemic for our unique #RemoteTheatre productions. Our original adaptations blend modern themes with the Bard's immortal poetry with the goal of making Shakespeare more accessible and palatable to today's audiences. Scenic City Shakes is dedicated to developing a thriving local community of professional theatre artists by securing funding for artist compensation prior to production beginning.
What We Do
Scenic City Shakespeare is a nonprofit production company specializing in Free Outdoor Theatre, Custom Theatre Education Programs. Our primary projects are Spring and Fall Shakespeare in the Park & Billie the Bard's Puppet Playhouse
