Who We Are

Mission: To seek and serve Jesus Christ in all whom we meet, respecting the dignity of our clients, and by following the teachings of Jesus to feed the hungry (MT 25:35) and, in general, to minister to the folks in need in our community.

Marion County Community Ministries was formed in 1996 by the Pastors and Churches in Marion County to consolidate the various food banks under one roof and to realize the synergies such effort affords.

What We Do

The food bank program provides boxes of food to our neighbors based on the size of the family. We depend on donations of money and food from our member churches and individuals in our community, from various corporations in Marion County, from food drives in the schools.

The food bank is open from 10am until noon on Tuesday and Saturday of each week except for major holidays. The food bank is an emergency food source for our neighbors.

As you may imagine our Food Expenses have been increasing in the same way as your personal food expenses.
