Who We Are
Mission: To foster literacy, education, and community involvement among East Ridge City residents by providing and maintaining book collections, literacy programs, and activities to foster a life long love of reading.
The East Ridge City Library serves the community of East Ridge, Tennessee, by providing access to a wide range of resources and services designed to enrich the lives of its patrons. The library offers books, digital media, and various educational and recreational programs to promote literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning.
What We Do
- Library Collections: The library has a variety of books, including bestsellers, large-print books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and DVDs. They also provide tech equipment like hotspots and Chromebooks, as well as passes to local attractions such as Audubon Acres, the Chattanooga Zoo, and the Creative Discovery Museum.
- Programs and Events: The library hosts several ongoing programs for all age groups, including:
- Baby Time Bounce and Rhyme for infants.
- Story Time for young children.
- Homeschool Book Club and Teen Advisory Board.
- A NOVEL IDEA book club for adults.
- Puzzles and Pen Pals, Cookin the Books (a cooking club), and other themed activities.
- Volunteer and Community Engagement: The library also engages the community through volunteering and organizing social events that cater to various interests and age groups.
