Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security
Mission: To develop, organize, coordinate and lead Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management toward effective preparation for, and efficient response to, emergencies and disasters with the primary focus of saving lives and minimizing property loss.
Hamilton County Emergency Management is in partnership with the Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) -a collaboration of individual volunteers organizing and mobilizing our community to meet disaster response needs.
Hamilton County is our home. To protect our home Hamilton County Emergency Management will:
Plan and train effectively and continuously for all-hazards, multi-disciplinary emergency and disaster response
Educate our citizens to the threats we face and the services we offer while instructing them in proactive family disaster planning
Participate in post-disaster collaborative public/private partnerships to recover and rebuild our community
Lessen the impact of natural disaster by engaging in multi-jurisdictional comprehensive hazard mitigation planning and implementing effective hazard mitigation projects
