This volunteer recruiter role helps expand and grow the volunteer driver team in Chattanooga. Volunteers with the American Cancer Society's Road To Recovery program drive cancer patients with limited or no transportation to and from treatment appointments. Volunteer drivers are urgently needed. This volunteer recruiter is an ambassador and works with an ACS staff partner to grow the volunteer driver team by: Disseminate recruitment flyers, cards & other resourcesBe a spokesperson for local groups. (optional)Network to share volunteer needs to community organizations.Brainstorm with staff partner on networks, opportunities, and audiences to recruit driversOPTIONAL: drive patientsThe time commitment is flexible per volunteer, preferably an hour per week. 2 months - 12 months commitment.
