Volunteer: Virtual Volunteers Needed to Sponsor/Adopt Deployed SoldiersWe are looking for volunteers interested in adopting or "sponsoring" a deployed service member or soldier. This opportunity is entirely virtual and done independently. We have many deployed troops who have little to no family support, and if you choose to adopt a service member, you are agreeing to send monthly cards and letters to that service member during his or her deployment so that they will know they are appreciated and not forgotten. The care package may be of any size or value, we just want our troops to know that someone cares. We do require a background check for all interested volunteers, since we pass out sensitive military information, including names and locations.
