efficiently and effectively in achieving their missions

The Center for Nonprofits functions as a support network for nonprofit organizations, churches, government programs, libraries, parks, etc. We serve as a central source for training, capacity-building services, and shared resources for all organizations in the Chattanooga region.

Directors of Volunteers in Agencies (DOVIA)

Mission: To promote volunteerism and to facilitate growth and development of individuals who manage volunteer programs in the Greater Chattanooga area.

Directors of Volunteers in Agencies is a local affilation of professionals who direct volunteers in nonprofit organziations around the region. DOVIA members have access to monthly professional development and networking opportunities, a local membership directory, and participation in annual National Volunteer Appreciation Week events. DOVIA meets every other month, on the first Thursday from 12 noon - 1pm.
